The Miracle Bucket Society

Living is all about giving and believing in miracles.

About The Miracle Bucket

The Miracle Bucket Society is a local, registered and incorporated "non-profit society" which began in the North Okanagan in 2011.

Our Values

MISSION: The Miracle Bucket Society's mission is to give families in crisis a sense of hope — to let them know that they are valued, that someone believes in them.

VISION:To give a hand up for families experiencing socio-economic and/or health challenges in our community. These are families who fall between the cracks and are not able to get assistance through other resources.

The Miracle Bucket Society is about promoting the:

Living is giving and believing in miracles.

Giving anonymously is a random act of kindness that provides a hand up not a hand out.

When we start to do what is necessary, then do what is possible, suddenly we have communities doing the impossible.

Funded activities will provide direct service to the community and take an innovative approach to community concerns.

Why become a part of the Society?

It is a way to give back to our community.

It is anonymous. A simple and an effective way to pay it forward.

How does it work?

Referrals are made to the Miracle Bucket Society by designated representatives from various local registered charities and/or health care professionals within the North Okanagan region. Miracle gifts are given anonymously to eligible families in the form of gift cards from Loblaw's (Real Canadian Superstore) and its affiliates to purchase food, clothing and household items.

Criteria: A family is defined as an adult and his/her child (or children) living in the same household. Priority is given to families living in Vernon, Coldstream, Lumby, Cherryville, Enderby and/or Armstrong. Referrals for consideration by The Miracle Bucket Society come through the following organizations and/or local registered charities in good standing and who demonstrate fiscal responsibility.
